Looking Back: A Momentary Decision That Put Me On the Radar of a Wolf

Yesterday, I made a choice that I now recognize as unwise. If you knew me well, you would rarely hear the word unwise linked to my actions. Yet, curiosity and a strange pull sometimes overpower even the best judgment. The phrase "curiosity killed the cat" echoed in my mind as I reflected on what happened. This blog has been hard to start because my life has been a whirlwind of events that tested me deeply. These experiences have made me stronger, wiser, and sharper—qualities I hope benefit you, my readers. But my heart wasn’t always ready to share how God wants me to reveal things. Now, as I rewrite this post, I’m determined to leave my heart on the page and let whatever happens happen.

To understand yesterday, I need to take you back to 2023.

Facing My Lukewarm Faith in Texas

In 2023, I found myself in Texas, wrestling with a painful truth: I was a lukewarm Christian. I feared God might spew me out (reject me), so I repented sincerely. This was a turning point. I realized I had allowed myself to fall into a relationship that was a trap from the pits of hell.

The spiritual dangers were clearer only in hindsight. At the time, I was blinded by manipulation and lies. However, today I take full responsibility for my actions. I chose to stay in a relationship where I was treated like an object or a tool. It wasn’t as simple as I described it; it was more complex. Which I will reveal over time. Regardless, I was outwitted. The hand I thought I held wasn’t part of the game being played on me. Demons were involved, and by summer 2023, God was ready to leave me to them. The judgment they wanted for me was death.

Thankfully, I repented and begged God to let me return home and serve Him. Because of those prayers, God set me free from that toxic relationship. The way He separated me from that person was so well done that the person would never come back into my life.

Because I will have to share more about this relationship in the future, I will call him Orlando. I have a mandate to share the knowledge I gained and the things God has done for me. I don't want to label him "my ex" or anything of the sort.

Lessons Learned from a Dangerous Relationship

Looking back, I see several lessons that I want to share. These lessons might help anyone who finds themselves caught in a similar trap.

  • Trust your instincts

Even when things seem confusing, your gut feeling is often a warning sign. I ignored mine for too long.

  • Recognize manipulation

Manipulation often hides behind charm and sweet words. It’s important to see the patterns early.

  • Spiritual battles are real

The forces at work were beyond human conflict. Prayer and faith became my weapons.

  • Repentance opens doors

Turning back to God wasn’t just about feeling sorry; it was about asking for real change and protection.

  • Freedom requires action

God’s deliverance came, but I had to take steps to leave and stay away.

These lessons are not just about surviving a bad relationship but about growing stronger in faith and wisdom.

How God Showed Up When I Needed Him Most

God’s presence was undeniable during this time. When I felt trapped and hopeless, He gave me strength to pray and repent. The separation from Orlando was not just physical but spiritual. I felt a peace that surpassed understanding, even when the situation was painful.

God’s timing was perfect. He didn’t abandon me, even when I was close to losing everything. His grace allowed me to come back home and rebuild my life.

Reflecting on Yesterday’s Momentary Decision

Yesterday’s decision was a moment where curiosity and the pull of the unknown overcame my usual wisdom. It reminded me how fragile progress can be and how important it is to stay vigilant.

I won’t go into all the details, but that moment put me on the radar of a wolf—a metaphor for danger and deception. It was a wake-up call to guard my heart and mind more carefully.

This experience has renewed my commitment to share honestly and openly. I want to help others avoid the traps I fell into and encourage those who feel lost to seek God’s guidance.

Moving Forward with Strength and Wisdom

As I continue this journey, I am more aware of the spiritual battles around me. I am learning to:

  • Stay grounded in prayer and scripture

  • Listen to my intuition without fear

  • Surround myself with supportive, trustworthy people

  • Share my story to help others heal and grow

I hope my story encourages you to reflect on your own life and decisions. Sometimes, a momentary choice can change everything. But with faith and courage, you can find your way back to safety and peace.

This journey has taught me that even when we stumble, God’s grace is enough to lift us up. If you find yourself facing your own wolves, remember that repentance and faith can open the door to freedom. Keep your heart open, stay alert, and trust that better days are ahead.
